About this lightning talk: Speaker: Josh Bohls Title: The sovereign lens: Securing operational photos and forensic integrity in German public administration Description provided by the author: German local governments face a critical mobile security gap: field officials using native camera apps. This practice creates severe GDPR (DSGVO) risks by syncing sensitive operational photos to personal cloud galleries, while lacking the metadata required for court admissibility (Beweissicherung). In this 5-minute talk, we demonstrate how combining CAPTOR and Nextcloud delivers a fully sovereign mobile workflow. You will learn how to isolate professional media from personal storage, eliminate "Shadow IT" syncs, and capture forensic-grade metadata at the edge — ensuring your administrative photography is compliant, secure, and legal-ready. What are lightning talks? Lightning talks are quick presentations from the Nextcloud community about contributing, developing Nextcloud apps, privacy and data sovereignty, and more. We have recorded the lightning talks during the event so everyone who couldn’t make it to the event can watch these inspiring sessions. ⚠️ Note: this is a live recording of a session from an in-person event.
